    Tahiti’s double issue 2–3/2020 specialises in the Middle Ages, and it was originally based on the Dies Medievales 2019 conference. It contains articles about medieval hybrid and death imagery and radiocarbon dating and shares recent information about the Saint Barbara Altarpiece in Kalanti. In addition, it publishes current articles from the course of 2020.

    Tahiti’s first issue of the 2020s has articles concerning Akseli Gallen-Kallela’s colour palette, Gustaf Nyström and Finnish wooden churches, Carl Einstein and African art, as well as Alexandra Frosterus-Såltin’s altarpieces. In addition, it publishes multiple book reviews and other texts.

    The last issue of 2019 focuses on the legacy of two Finnish female artists, Ellen Thesleff and Sigrid Schauman. The articles share new research of the artists in relation to theoretical frameworks of both their own time and the present day. The issue also publishes reviews concerning new biography literature and research literature.

    The second Tahiti issue of the year covers the topics of art, magic and supernatural.     The first issue of 2018 has articles about the expeditions of the Finnish Antiquarian Society at the turn of the 20th century, the Chinoiserie garden architecture, animal sculpture in 19th century France and the image of an artist in 20th century Finland. In addition, it ponders the relationship between theory and practice and visits the conference of Germany’s society for design history.

    Vol. 7 No. 2 (2017)

    Tahiti’s first issue on the new Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, issue 2/2017 concentrates on the one hundred-year-old readymade concept. The texts related to the theme explain the forms in which readymade is alive today and how it is manifested in contemporary art.
